adidas outlet store closes

Adidas, its North American headquarters in Portland, has responded to stagnant US sales of its products by announcing earlier this month a corporate restructuring, and the transfer of some jobs from Portland to South Carolina. Along with this, Adidas shuttered its outlet store at 5020 NE MLK.

The store was swept clear inside by Friday, and another building on MLK comes available.

Here is the announcement of the store’s groundbreaking in 1997; Jack Bog noted on his blog in February 2007 that Adidas intended to close the store.
